The story of Perma Log Sculptures began with an accidental splatter of stucco on a job site over three decades ago. As the story goes, one of the crew thought that the splatter looked just like a penguin. That inspired several workers to experiment with creating three-dimensional sculptures out of the stucco. The pieces expanded from small muses to elaborate scenes, eventually culminating with large-scale Easter Island replicas.
